This is my fourth year teaching at Benton Community. One of my favorite things about Benton is the students. I teach seventh grade language arts and one section of Senior English. It is amazing to see how much the students grow and change through the years. Seeing them accomplish things makes me incredibly proud.

Why I chose Benton? It has always been home. “Once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat!” In my student teaching I got the opportunity to experience different school settings and systems. Benton has always had a rich tradition of education and focus on what is best for our students. I wanted to be a part of that and make a difference.

"I chose Benton because of our culture and beliefs we have in learning and educating our students. Benton is a place to belong and great learning opportunities happen here everyday. All staff are committed to the students they see and serve. As a parent of a child who also attends Benton, that is what I want for my own family, a school culture that truly puts students first."
