Road Trips to College Fairs for the Class of '27 and '28!
This past week both Juniors and Seniors were offered the opportunity to travel to College Fairs with Mrs. Nesbitt and Ms. Daily. College Fairs provide the opportunity to visit with several colleges and a few military branches at the same venue. Junior and Senior Bobcats engaged in conversations about program offerings, financial aid, scholarships and more. Our Seniors event spotted a Benton alum on his way to class who shared about his experience as a Kirkwood Eagle! Juniors and Seniors will now keep the college exploration conversations going as they schedule their individual campus visits and meet with college admissions representatives who visit us at Benton Community High School.

Benton Artist Spotlight: Knox Becker
Dr. Bronke from Novak Consulting recently spent time at Benton Community visiting classrooms and providing professional learning for our PK–12 staff around Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
During classroom visits, Dr. Bronke had the opportunity to see our students and staff in action while gathering insight into our implementation of UDL. This professional learning focused on strategies that help create accessible, engaging learning environments where all students have opportunities to participate, grow, and succeed. We appreciate Dr. Bronke’s continued partnership as we work to strengthen teaching and learning across Benton Community.

Last night, Averie Gale was recognized with a Superintendent’s Proclamation for her leadership, initiative, and drive in pursuing the Rotary Youth Exchange experience.
Averie spent the past year in Denmark, immersing herself in a new culture, building relationships, and gaining experiences that will last a lifetime. During the School Board meeting, she shared about the process of becoming a Rotary Youth Exchange student and reflected on her year abroad. We are proud of Averie for having the courage to pursue this unique opportunity and for representing Benton Community beyond our borders. Her experience is a wonderful example of being a Self-Directed Learner, Effective Communicator, and Responsible Citizen.
