Why did you choose to work at Benton? "Choosing to work in the school district I graduated from is important to me. It's coming full circle, and now having my children go to school here too just makes it feel like home. It's not just a job; it's about being part of the place that shaped me and now gets to be a part of my family's story too."

Why Benton? "I chose Benton for my family because I enjoy the school community."

"I chose Benton because of the small town atmosphere. And my husband and I wanted our kids to attend and be part of this community."

Hi, my name is Abbie Patterson. This is my sixth year as a Benton Community paraeducator at Atkins Elementary. I am in my second year of the paraeducator-to-teacher grant apprenticeship program and am excited to start student teaching this spring at Atkins Elementary in second grade. I graduated from Benton, and my husband and I chose to raise our family here. My favorite thing about Benton is the pride that goes along with being a part of the school and community. Once a bobcat, always a bobcat!

Benton Community 8th grade enjoyed a field trip to the STEAM Institute on Monday, Dec. 18th. STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
