Do you have a stationary bike or elliptical that is taking up space and collecting dust? If so, consider donating it to the Benton Girls Wrestling Program.
The Benton Girls Wrestling Program is looking to acquire stationary bikes or elliptical machines for conditioning and rehabilitation situations when wrestlers cannot participate in practice due to injury. We'll even come pick it up!

A group of Benton Community students recently attended a Career Fair highlighting employment opportunities in the trades as well as apprenticeships. We heard from individual employers in areas such as construction, plumbing and pipefitting, insultation, roofing, electricians, and heavy equipment operators. The opportunities for our young people are diverse and students do not have to have prior experience in these areas in order to be successful. We heard repeatedly that the most important skill set for future employees is to show up consistently (attendance matters!) and to work hard. These are highly valued traits for all employees, and we know that Benton Community students can exhibit these characteristics!
If you or your student have questions about contacts in these areas, then please let Mr. Cretin (High School Counselor) know at acretin@benton.k12.ia.us.
