Benton Community is seeking a dynamic Long Term Substitute High School Social Studies Teacher for the remainder of the 2021-2022 School Year. The assignment is focused on the following curricular areas: Government, Global Studies, and Modern America. Applicants will be expected to complete daily lesson planning, provide student feedback, and complete grading.

1/2 teaching day - $ 63.00
After fifteen (15) consecutive days in the same substitute teaching position, the substitute teacher will be placed on the salary schedule at the B.A. base salary on the first (1st) experience level. (FY’22 - $175.87/day.)

Today the Bobcat nation will say goodbye to Mr. Derek Anderson, our High School social studies teacher who touched the lives of so many students, teachers, parents, and community members. This is a special day to honor and celebrate his life. Derek was one of our best.....a man of integrity, professionalism, and thoughtfulness. We thank Derek for his influence on our lives, for his individualized care and concern for his students, for showing us how to inspire and support others, and just for being him. RIP Mr. Anderson
