Congratulations to Brent Harvey as he was recently board approved as the new head softball coach at Benton Community. Coach Harvey has served as an assistant for the past two years and has volunteered since 2017.

Benton Esports kicked off their season with a big win over Burlington on Thursday, Sept. 19th
Bobcats host CCA tonight in our final non-district game of the year. Freshmen start at 5 pm and Varsity at 7:15 pm. It is also Youth Cheer Night.

Liliahnah DeLong (11th grade) completed her Kirkwood WLC internship and had an amazing experience. She was able to learn about a career in radiology. This confirmed her desire to complete a degree as a radiologist. Please continue to watch for future opportunities to apply for these amazing experiences!

Associates from throughout the district spent time learning with our partners from Grant Wood AEA on Wednesday’s early release. We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated group of individuals supporting Bobcats.
What I love most about working at Benton is our students, staff and family atmosphere. To see growth of our young students from year to year is something special. Their daily smiles and knock knock jokes are an added bonus!

Due to an unforeseen and tragic loss of a student at South Tama....all MS Football and MS Volleyball Contests are cancelled for this evening. Please keep the family and the South Tama community in your thoughts and prayers.

There will be NO Middle School Football or MS Volleyball Practices this evening. MS Football and Volleyball players are to go home right after school at 3:21 pm.
MS Cross Country is still practicing at the HS this evening right after school.
Shuttle bus will run from the high school this evening at 6:00 pm.
