Benton was 24 of 55 for field goals, 12 of 33 for three-pointers and 11 of 13 for free throws. Benton had 39 rebounds, 17 assists, 14 steals, 10 blocks, 12 turnovers and seven fouls. McKenna Kramer led Benton with 24 points, including 8 of 11 shooting for three-pointers. Emma Townsley added 12 points. Jess DeMoss had six rebounds. Townsley had seven assists and five steals. With three blocks each were Townsley and Piper Nelson.
Mount Pleasant was 6 of 32 for field goals, 1 of 7 for three-pointers and 7 of 10 for free throws. They had 23 rebounds, three assists, six steals, one block and 10 fouls.
Benton travels to No. 14 Marion on Tuesday, Dec. 12, and hosts No. 13 Williamsburg on Friday, Dec. 15.

Congratulations to, Benton Community Senior, William Kroneman and Union High School's, Olivia Hanson. William and Olivia were the winners of the Iowa Cattlemen's Beef Extravaganza Contest on December 6th, 2023. The contest consisted of 10 stations requiring collegiate sophomore-level knowledge of the beef industry and public speaking skills. Both, William and Olivia, received a $2,500 award for college.


"My favorite thing about being a Bobcat is watching our students participate in the many activities that we offer our students at Benton Community and the support from the community surrounding the school."


Santa is coming to BCHS tonight and is looking forward to taking pictures and accepting donations for our toy drive! Toys and monetary donations are accepted! All proceeds support Benton Community families.



Student Council has announced student dress-up days for next week Monday, Dec. 18th through Thursday, Dec. 21st.
