HS Girls Soccer: There will be a meeting on Thursday during 5th block in Coach Trainer’s room for all girls that are interested in playing soccer in the spring. If you can’t be there, please talk to Coach ahead of time.


Classroom and Passing Time Reminders:
● Students will be dismissed AFTER the Bells Ring! There will be no more leaving before the bell.
● No blankets are to be brought to class. Blankets are defined by 3x5 or 5x8 piece of cloth that keeps you warm and has no
clothing designation.
● Lunch shift dismissals will also work off the bell. Students leaving early will be sent back.

Benton’s Aidan Gallery was 8 of 11 for passing with 100 yards. Sam Wallace had five catches for 47 yards. Easton Pfiffner had two catches for 26 yards. Will Shaw had one catch for 27 yards.
Benton rushed 334 yards. Carson Bruns had 38 carries for 243 yards and four touchdowns, including a 16-yard touchdown run. Gallery had 14 carries for 84 yards.
Easton Pfiffner had 8.0 total tackles. Will Shaw had 1.5 sacks. Noah Franck had one sack. Brennen Blegen had 0.5 sacks.
Sam Wallace had one kickoff return for five yards. Dylan LeFebvere had two returns for 55 yards. Easton Pfiffner had one punt return for four yards. Nathan Rottman had five kickoffs for 2-9 yards, and was 4 of 4 for points after touhdown.
Assumption had 135 yards passing and 131 yards rushing.

My name is Keri Graveman and I teach 3 and 4 year old preschool at Atkins Elementary. I come from a long line of teachers, both of my parents were teachers and my grandma was a school counselor. I have 3 children that attend Benton Community Schools and 2 step-children that attend Waterloo Community Schools. This is my 4th year teaching preschool at Benton Community, but 7th year being a preschool teacher!


October 10-14 is National School Lunch Week. Thank you to our Food Service workers for providing our students nutritious meals every school day!

Girls Wrestling Meeting: There will be a girls wrestling meeting on Wednesday, October 12 during 5th Block in Coach Hoeck’s room. If you can’t attend the meeting, please talk to Coach Hoeck before the meeting.


Ashley Jones is in her sixth year teaching and third year at Benton. Ashley teaches 7th grade language arts and one section of senior English. Over the summer Ashley got married and went to Hawaii for her honeymoon.


MS Student Council: There will be a middle school student council meeting Friday during 5th block. The meeting will be in Mrs. Jones' room.

Krystal Wright is in her 16th year as the Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor at the Benton Community MS/HS. Krystal resides in Atkins with her husband Bryan and three sons, Kaden, Bowen and Easton. When not busy with FFA, Krystal enjoys spending time with family, reading, baking and cheering on the Cyclones!
