Benton Community offers many services in order to support students, families and staff.  The Benton Community Food Pantry began 5 years ago when staff noticed students and families in need of food assistance.  It has grown since then to include a clothing closet and a hygiene shelving unit. The hygiene collection was initiated by a Benton staff member and her family that noticed a need and wanted to make a difference. These resources are located in the Middle School High school building and are available for students, families and staff use.   This school year Benton has provided food assistance, clothing, and hygiene products to numerous students, and families.

We cannot provide that support without help from our community and staff. Recently the Newhall Fire Department donated items from their recent food drive.  We would like to thank them for thinking of us and donating to our student centered food pantry!  These donations have already started helping students and families.   However, our hygiene shelf is currently running low and is in need of some donations.  The student council, robotics, and boys and girls basketball teams will be hosting hygiene products drive on January 16-20th.   Please help fill our Hygiene Shelf! Donate now through January 20th, bring hygiene products to the Middle School/ High School office to help the Bobcat Community.   We are in need of hygiene items such as body wash, deodorant, Chap Stick, disposable razors, baby wipes and room disinfectant spray.  In addition to collecting items at school we will also be collecting donations at the girls’ basketball game on January 17 and the boys’ basketball game on January 20th.  This is just one way that Benton shows it cares!
