With over one quarter of the year already in the books, it is important to reflect on how the year has gone and how we can keep pushing forward. When teaching, it is important to bridge the gap between classroom concepts and how students will be able to apply these ideas upon graduation. Doing this helps students experience more success and develop a deeper understanding of the material.

The main connection teachers strive to make is with their students and their interests. When we can relate to students and understand their needs in and out of school, it makes the school day much more enjoyable. When teachers can help students feel connected to their school, then the high level learning can take place.
