Computer technology is becoming a big part of the business classroom in Benton Community High School. Students are learning about various life skills through technology including taxes, finding jobs, investing, and much more. In today’s world technology is a crucial part of life’s everyday tasks and this class is helping students prepare for life after schooling.
In this class, students are running through a simulation of real-life situations. They are given the task of diversifying their stocks and tracking the volatility of these stocks. They are also learning how to buy, sell, trade, and look at trends of various stocks available in the market. Students are getting the opportunity to get exposed to real-life stocks and are able to learn how to make decisions without using real money. The more they are exposed to these things, the more comfortable they will become with these situations in life.
