One of the many benefits of attending 3-Year-Old Preschool is the opportunity for students to explore different areas of the school early and often. Recently, Mrs. Bistline’s class visited the school library, where Mrs. Brannaman welcomed the students with a smile and a story.
These visits are about so much more than reading a book. Our preschoolers are learning how to move through the school as a group, sit together, and show respect for one another and the person reading to them. After the story, the children had the opportunity to tour the library and sit in some of the favorite spots of our older students.
Our students enjoyed meeting new adults, exploring new spaces, learning to adapt to new experiences, building relationships within our school community, and developing a love for literacy! They are asking when we can go again! It is wonderful to see our youngest learners building these skills and becoming more comfortable in their school environment. By having these opportunities, we are helping them build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging that will continue to grow throughout their school years.
