Benton Community School District

Benton’s Homecoming week brought students and staff together with the theme “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Activities included dress-up days, Powderpuff football, a free ice cream social for grades 7–12, a Bobcat Cake-Off, the parade, pep rally, coronations, and dance. We were also excited to welcome back Benton alumna and Iowa State Fair Queen Belle Werner as our parade Grand Marshal. As Student Council advisor, I guided students through planning and organizing these events, helping them build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills along the way. I am proud of their creativity and dedication, and grateful to the staff, volunteers, and community members who helped make the week memorable!
