Our new staff and teacher leaders kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with an exciting opportunity for focused preparation and community building. In the morning, new to Benton teachers dove into the new staff orientation to get familiarized with our district's culture and expectations. While the new teachers were participating in their new staff orientation, teacher leaders and administrators gathered to preview the upcoming professional learning focus, making direct connections to our district's data process to help support our grade-level and content teams.
At lunchtime, new teachers, teacher leaders, and administrators came together at Tara Hills to connect and build relationships over a shared meal. The collaborative energy carried directly into the afternoon as everyone piled into vans for a tour through our district's towns. Stopping at each district building gave everyone a comprehensive view of our community while offering plenty of time to get to know one another.
It was a fantastic first day back for the group. The day successfully established a strong foundation of teamwork, shared vision, and enthusiasm for the year ahead.
