Recently in 7th grade health, students completed their chapter on First Aid. As part of that chapter, they learned how to perform CPR. CPR is a valuable skill to know as you never know when you may need to perform it. Hopefully they never do, but if they do, they will be prepared to respond to the situation.

In physical education, Rhyanne Hartwig from Grant Wood AEA came in and talked about Disability in Sport Day and Inclusive PE. Rhyanne talked about many different disabilities and the opportunities that are available to those individuals and activities they can compete in during their lifetime. Rhyanne also discussed possible careers students could go into, like developing prosthetics and devices to assist people with disabilities that can be used in sports or everyday life.
