I teach life science at Benton Community, where I work with students in both biology and human biology courses. My classroom is built around helping students understand how living systems function, from the molecular level to entire body systems. I aim to make science approachable and relevant, encouraging students to ask questions, think critically, and connect what they learn to the world around them.

In biology, we explore topics such as the cell cycle, genetics, and ecosystems, focusing on how life grows, reproduces, and adapts. In human biology, with an emphasis on anatomy and physiology, students study the structure and function of the human body—from skeletal and muscular systems to more complex processes like circulation and respiration. I try to balance foundational knowledge with hands-on activities and real-world applications so students can see how these concepts matter beyond the classroom.
