On April 17th, Keystone 2nd graders had the opportunity to bring their Junior Achievement learning to life by visiting Cranky Hank’s Pizza Bank. Over the past few weeks, students have been learning about goods and services, how to earn money, jobs in our community, and more.

One of the activities that students engaged in during Junior Achievement was following pretend customer orders to create pizzas from stickers. Students had to quickly and efficiently make as many correct pizzas as they could. When time was up, students were “paid” with one Junior Achievement dollar per correct pizza.

Thanks to Benton Community PTO, our classes were able to put their learning into action by visiting an actual pizza place. At Cranky Hank’s, each student got to create their own pizza by shaping their dough, adding ingredients of their choice, and then, of course, getting to eat their final product!

Huge thank you to Benton Community PTO and Cranky Hank’s for making this such a memorable field trip for our students!
