Across the state of Iowa, schools are prioritizing opportunities for students to earn Industry-Recognized Credentials (IRCs). These credentials are attached to their diploma, providing proof of their skills and helping them stand out as they enter the workforce or continue their education. The IRCs align with real workforce expectations and are developed with input from industry professionals. They help prepare students for life after high school while giving them opportunities to explore careers and gain hands-on experiences.
At Benton Community, one of the Industry-Recognized Credentials is the Iowa FFA Degree. This distinguished honor represents a student’s dedication, leadership, and growth through agricultural education. To earn the Iowa FFA Degree, students must demonstrate significant involvement in Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs), exhibit leadership within their chapter, and meet participation requirements.
This year, we are proud to recognize the following students who have earned the Iowa FFA Degree: Payton Armstrong, Drew Ballard, Noah Barr, Katelyn Covington, Bella De Nooy, Asa Frese, Brianna Gahring, Colton Kroneman, Hannah Sadler, Cole Schanbacher, Nova Selck, and Kaden Wright. These students have gone above and beyond in their commitment to agricultural education and personal growth. As these students move forward, they will leave high school with the Iowa FFA Degree attached to their diploma, proof of the skills and experiences that set them up for future success.
