The Benton girls golf team is making an early statement in the 2026 spring season, racing out to an impressive undefeated start. Through their opening competitions, the team holds a perfect 18-0 record and has established themselves as one of the top contenders in Class 3A, currently boasting the sixth-best scoring average in class 3A.
The girls have not only been consistent in dual and triangular meets, but they have also proven their strength in larger fields. They have captured titles at each of their first three invitationals of the season, showcasing both depth and composure across different courses.
Their run began with a victory at the Wapsi Creek Invitational in Anamosa, followed by another first-place finish at the Bobcat Invite held at Tara Hills. Most recently, the girls continued their winning streak by claiming the top spot at the Lady Raider Invitational in Williamsburg.
With a combination of strong individual performances and steady team scoring, the girls have quickly positioned themselves as a team to watch as the season progresses. If their early success is any indication, the Bobcats appear poised for a deep and competitive run this spring.
