In Foods 1, our focus is on learning the foundational skills needed for safe and effective kitchen use. Since this class includes both 9th and 10th graders, we’re starting with the basics—how to handle food safely, properly use kitchen tools, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. These skills are essential for preventing accidents and ensuring that cooking is both fun and safe. By mastering these fundamentals, students will build the confidence and knowledge needed to move on to more advanced cooking techniques later in the course.
