The Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school students who have demonstrated proficiency in English and another language, celebrating the academic and real-world value of multilingualism. In our district, Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 students have the opportunity to earn this distinction by meeting rigorous language proficiency benchmarks that reflect strong skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Earning the Seal of Biliteracy highlights students’ dedication to language learning and cultural understanding, while also strengthening college applications, career readiness, and global citizenship.
