In our third grade classroom, we believe that our classroom culture is very important! Every Friday during snack, one student is selected to be our “Phone Call Friday”. We call home to the student’s family members and tell them all of the things we love about their student! The family member is put on speaker phone so all students can be involved. It is a great way for students to hear that child’s family members, as well as build that sense of community inside and outside of the classroom. I love doing it each week because it is a positive experience for both the students and the family members! It also gives me a chance to brag about the amazing kiddos I have in my classroom.
