Games can be a powerful tool for applying academic skills, because they encourage active participation and problem-solving. When educational games are played, we practice using what has been learned in meaningful and engaging ways. Active learning promotes deeper understanding and helps students see how concepts connect to real-world situations.

Games also build important social skills. Working with others during gameplay strengthens communication, teamwork, and perseverance. Students learn to think strategically, make decisions, and reflect on outcomes—all valuable skills beyond the classroom. By combining fun and learning, games make practice more enjoyable and effective, motivating students to take ownership of their learning and apply their skills with confidence.
