The Counseling Office has been active as we begin the new school year. Student schedules have been updated and finalized, ensuring that each student is placed in the appropriate courses to support both their academic progress and future goals. Students and staff are also adjusting well to the new divide of counselor staff. We are no longer dividing our office by grade, but by alphabet. Meaning, both myself and Lisa Daily are working with all 7-12th graders. I will have the last names who start with L-Z and Ms. Daily will have last names A-K. Stella, our therapy dog, of course is back in action. She can bring calm to any situation, and quickly turns frowns to smiles. She continues to be the perfect asset to our counseling team.

As a reminder, the Counseling Office serves as a resource for students in many different areas. Beyond academic planning and scheduling, students are encouraged to visit the office for support with college and career exploration, mental health and wellness needs, friendship or peer concerns, organizational skills, or simply to take a moment to reset in a supportive environment. Our goal is to ensure that every student feels supported in both their academic and personal growth, and we welcome collaboration with families and staff to help meet those needs.

Our Counseling Office is excited for the year ahead, and we look forward to working with our students throughout the year to continue to do our part of making Benton A Place To Belong.
