Phillip Eastman, Principal, Norway Intermediate
This year like many others began with excitement as students and staff returned to start another school year, and like all the others, the school year quickly sped by. However, in that time we created memories with the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders that they can take with them for years to come.
Homecoming week and the annual trip to our high school for the pep assembly. The amount of school spirit during this event is on a level of its own. We quickly moved to Veterans Day, and the assembly we are fortunate to be a part of which brings our school and community together again to celebrate, honor, and thank the women, men, and families that have and continue to protect our freedoms. Junior Achievement was brought to Norway this year and our students were able to participate in a variety of learning avenues preparing them for life after school. Our students participated in holiday concerts and PBIS assemblies to recognize and celebrate their successes. Finally, we have arrived in the last few weeks of school and the Norway staff have created multiple learning experiences for the students with the help of parents and our generous PTO. There were class cookouts, trips to Rogers Park, Camp Wapsie, May City bowling, and Morgan Creek.
As we place a period on the 23-24 school year, I want to say thank you to each of you for all that you do to make the school year a positive learning experience for all of our students.
