Traveling to YMCA Camp Wapsie in 6th grade is a beloved tradition at Benton Community. This month, our current 6th grade class got to experience this memorable trip. Our day was filled with various activities, such as canoeing, ziplining, exploring the ponds, team building, and archery!
Wapsie ends up being so much more than fun games and activities for most. Students formed new relationships with both peers and future teachers, worked collaboratively to solve challenges, engaged in vigorous outdoor physical movement, explored native landscapes, and were given ample opportunities to showcase positive character traits.
