6th Grade students at Norway have been working tirelessly over the last few weeks to write their argument essays. In this unit students were able to make connections between their personal lives and their classwork. Students were to pick a challenge that they have faced or may face later on in their lives. Along with that, they were to pick out traits they needed in order to face that challenge while also tying it in to a book we were reading in class. It was a very long process but students always came in with a positive attitude and were ready to learn every day.

Writing will play a huge factor throughout students’ lives and will be needed beyond their school days. They have been able to work and see the different portions of the writing process and see what great writers do in order to write effective pieces. These students have been growing their skills and knowledge throughout the entire school year and have been continuously improving with each unit!
