Fitness and Conditioning is a Physical Education elective offered at the high school for 9-12 grade students. The learning targets for this course are - safe and efficient use of weight training equipment, learning how to effectively set up a total body singular workout and workout program, setting goals to realistically achieve desired results and to learn how physical activity/fitness can improve quality of life.

This is a course that is designed for beginners as well as some of our more experienced and athletically inclined student body. We have access to a great online resource/app called PLT4M that we use in Fitness and Conditioning as well as throughout our athletic programs here at Benton. Students are able to track their progress daily, during the quarter and all the way through their athletic seasons.

We, as a Physical Education staff, are excited to continue to offer Fitness and Conditioning to our students here at Benton. We are also always looking for ways to improve our knowledge of the subject as well as embed new and updated ideas and strategies into making this course offering as beneficial to our students as possible!
