Benton Community School District

Benton now has a quality group of students signed up as members for their SkillsUSA chapter. In the next week they will be going through the selection process to decide who will be officers for the year. This organization is student lead and will strengthen leadership skills for those who are a part of it. As a member these student will have access to open shop times to work on their personal projects.  This will allow for students to have a lot of freedom in their learning and have access to tools that may cost too much for them to own at home. The students who have signed up are also excited for the different competitions that are offered through SkillsUSA.  There is a wide variety of competitions offered that range anywhere from wood working to automotive. This group of students has a few ideas for fundraisers so keep an eye out for apparel in the future.
