I am often told that I must be crazy for teaching middle school, let alone middle school MATH! I consider myself very lucky here at Benton to be working with such a great staff of middle school teachers and paraeducators. We work so well together by communicating students' needs, collaborating with consistent expectations, and doing our share of the work that needs to be done.
As a middle school team, we know our students well because we care about each one of them. We are deeply committed to each student being successful, not only in our content areas, but as human beings. We meet each student where they are and keep helping them move forward. As middle school teachers, we may be a little crazy, but we care deeply about our students and try to have some fun each and every day!
