Iowa's new Hands -Free Driving law goes into effect July 1st. This law prohibits drivers from holding or manually operating a cell phone or other electronic device while driving.

Healthy Kids Iowa is Back! We believe every child deserves access to healthy food - no ID, no incoming check, no paperwork. Just come! Each eligible child can receive up to $40 in healthy groceries once per month this summer, thanks to Virginia Gay Hospital and your local schools. * Pick up locations (4-7 PM): *June 26 - July 17 - August 7 *Benton Community High School, 600 1st St., Van Horne (Near Gym Doors) *Vinton-Shellsburg High School, 210 W 21st St., Vinton (East side, back parking lot) We're here to help make summer easier for families - with friendly smiles, helping hands, and healthy food.
