Bobcats have strong first half against South Tama for non-district win

Aidan Gallery was 3 for 3 in passing for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Brenden Heying was 1 for 2 for 97 yards and a touchdown. Benton had 115 yards passing.
Benton had 178 yards rushing. Sam Wallace had two carries for 43 yards. Heying had four carries for 24 yards. Gallery had two carries for 34 yards and one touchdown. Blake Heying had nine carries for 38 yards. Carson Bruns had three carries for 17 yards and two touchdowns. Easton Pfiffner and one carry for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Sam Wallace had two catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Upah had on catch for 18 yards and a touchdown. Pfiffner and one catch for seven yards.
Dylan LeFebvere had six total tackles with five solo. Isaiah had one tackle for loss. Recovering one fumble each were Wallace, Lane Wauters and Brennen Blegen. Jace Biery had one interception. Owen Tjelmeland returned one kickoff for 11 yards. He also returned one punt for 11 yards. Tobias Michelsen had two kickoffs for 86 yards. Nathan Rottman had six kickoffs for 303 yards. Ryan Davidson had two punts 66 yards. Pfiffner had one punt for 43 yards.

A new radar speed sign was installed and is now fully operational outside the High School! This sign will give drivers a visual warning to ensure they have slowed to 25 miles per hour prior to entering the school zone.

Jared Lancaster is in his second year at Benton Community High School teaching 9-12 Band and fourth year overall. When not busy with band, Mr. Lancaster is a freelance composer and arranger who enjoys going for walks and bike rides. Go Bobcats!

Denise Moeller teaches Middle School Special Ed and Intervention. This is her first year in this role, but her 12th year with the district. She has 3 children, 2 of which have already graduated from Benton, and her 3rd who is currently a junior.
