The team had 32 rebounds, 21 assists, 10 steals, six blocks, 10 turnovers and 15 fouls. Jenna Twedt led Benton with 21 points. McKenna Kramer had 12 and Emma Townsley added 11 points. Townsley had nine rebounds. Piper Nelson added six rebounds. Townsley also had seven assists. Jenna Twedt had four. Nelson had three steals. Twedt had three blocks. Mid-Prairie was 14 of 44 for field goals, 4 of 8 for three-pointers, and 11 of 14 for free throws. They had 35 rebounds, six assists, four steals, three blocks, 16 turnovers and 12 fouls. Courtesy of Jim Magdefrau #BeABobcat #APlaceToBelong 2022 IPSWA/IFCA All-State Football DES MOINES — The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association and the Iowa Football Coaches Association have announced their 2022 all-state football teams. Dozens of sports writers and coaches from across the state met either in-person at Dowling Catholic High School or over Zoom to select this year’s teams. Team captains were selected in each of the seven Iowa high school football classes. Captains must be a senior and selected to the first all-state team and are voted on by sports writers in each class. The captains in each class were Cael Ortmann of Remsen St. Mary’s (8-man); Patrick Brown III of Grundy Center (Class A); Nolan Delong of Durant (Class 1A); Zach Lutmer of CLGLR (Class 2A); Aidan Hall of Harlan (Class 3A); Braylon Kammrad of Lewis Center (Class 4A); and Abu Sama of Southeast Polk (Class 5A). The Iowa Print Sports Writers Association was founded in February 2018 to carry on the tradition of newspapers selecting all-state teams for Iowa high school sports. Benton Defensive Lineman Brennen Blegen received second-team honors in Class 3A. He is a junior.

Announcement
Kory is currently in his 16th year of teaching. He has spent all 16 years at Benton Community. He currently is in his first year as a 7th grade social studies after teaching it at the high school level the previous 15. Kory is going into his 12th season as the head coach of the varsity boys track and field team. He also coached football and basketball for several years. Kory currently lives in Atkins with his wife Megan, daughter Blaire (8) and sons Dane (6) and Conrad (2). They all love the Bobcat community!
