Carson Nolan was 2 for 8 with one interception. Benton rushed for 221 yards. Logan Upah had one carry for five yards. Nolan had 18 carries for 116 yards. Dylan LeFebvere had 19 carries for 100 yards and three touchdowns. Elias Bieschke had one carry. Logan Upah had on catch for four yards. Gavin Brooks had one catch for nine yards. LeFebvere had 9.5 total tackles with seven solo. Blayke Heying had 7.0 total tackles and six solo. Grant Volesky had 6.0 total tackles with four solo. They were 46 of 48 for serves with 10 aces. Benton 2, Williamsburg (17-10) 0 BC 25 25 - 2 W 21 13 - 0 Williamsburg was 4 of 60 for kills with 16 errors. They were 30 of 33 for serves with two aces. Class 3A Region 5 quarterfinal Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, at Davenport Assumption (23-8) 3, Benton (8-29) 0 BC 11 15 15 - 0 DA 25 25 25 - 0 Assumption was 39 of 77 for kills with 15 errors. They were 64 of 69 for serves with 12 aces. Assumption went on to defeat Washington (18-16) in the semifinal match on Thursday, Oct. 24, 3-0. They host Anamosa (32-7) on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

7th grade students in Mrs. O’Leary’s science class are learning about the food web and food chain. Today, students were assigned 3 roles, a shrimp, a gull, and a coyote. Students participated in a simulation to see who were the last “animals” standing.
