Did you know? Benton Community has one of the lowest tax levy rates in Iowa. BC has the lowest rate within our immediate area. Even with a levy increase with the VPPEL, Benton Community would continue to have the lowest rate in the area.

Atkins Elementary asks for your support in collecting items for our annual Fill the Pantry Food Drive! Please donate items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and other essential food items that can help create balanced and nutritious meals for families facing food insecurity. The Fill the Pantry Food Drive not only addresses the immediate needs of the community but also fosters a sense of solidarity and compassion among neighbors. Through collective efforts, we will support needs with the Middle School/High School Hygiene closet and the Helping Hands Food Pantry located in Atkins.

"I became a Benton parent in 2015 and as soon as I walked into the building, I felt a welcoming and belonging that I had never experienced before. It truly felt like a place to belong. In 2019, an opportunity presented itself and after 19 years of teaching in other districts, I decided it was time for me to make a change. This was the best decision ever. My favorite part of being a Bobcat is the Bobcat pride that you feel at games, concerts and all the events!"

School will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, January 17.
