I have taught for 22 years in kindergarten at Atkins Elementary. I enjoy going to my son's events, spending time with our new grandson, and riding my horses. My family hosts Kernel's players and we enjoy cheering for our players at their games.

It's Book Fair week at Atkins Elementary. Book Fair hours are: Monday 7:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday noon-5:00pm, Wednesday 7:30am-3:30pm and Thursday 7:30am-noon.

Hannah Messier from KCRG visited with our 1st Grade students for their Weather Unit. The kids liked the Cloud In A Bottle Experiment. They also played a game called Good Cloud vs. Bad Cloud. It was a great morning learning about weather. Thank you, Hannah, for bringing the KCRG Weather Academy to Atkins Elementary.

I have been a school nurse for Benton Community Schools for 14 years serving multiple centers. I enjoy spending time with my family including my 4 kids, 5 bonus kids and a bonus daughter-in-law. I enjoy teaching second grade at Atkins Elementary School! I have spent the majority of my teaching career in Atkins, but have also taught in Keystone. Some of my favorite past-times include: spending time with family/friends, gardening/canning, and reading.
