What is your favorite thing about being a Bobcat?
My favorite thing about being a Bobcat is the strong sense of family. Our students, teachers, and families come together to support each other every day — it’s more than a community, it’s home!

My favorite thing about being a Bobcat is the strong sense of community and belonging. I’ve been a Bobcat since I was 6 years old, and over the years I’ve seen how much people care and get involved. It’s more than just being part of a school or a team—it truly feels like a family and a place where everyone belongs.

A note from Tiffany DeBoer

My name is Tiffany DeBoer. I am a Deputy with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and have been employed with them since the beginning of 2025. I began my career with Cedar Rapids Police in 1994. I have been in various roles with a couple of different Police Departments in Law Enforcement since that time frame. The SRO position will be new to me.

I look forward to the opportunity of interacting with your students in any way I can. My primary focus will be to build a positive relationship with the students and staff. I will also focus on maintaining a safe learning environment. I will be readily available to assist you with any challenges that may arise, and to help educate students and staff on issues related to law enforcement and school safety. I ask that you assist me in getting acquainted with the inner workings of the district.

As your SRO, I am committed to:
o Promoting the law enforcement profession and being a positive role model to students.
o Building working relationships with the school’s staff as well as with student and parent groups.
o Attending and participating in school functions.
o Interacting with students throughout the district’s various locations.
o Providing a proactive approach to deterring criminal activity and student misconduct.
o Working with staff members to establish a safe and secure learning environment.
o Training closely with faculty members for preparedness in responding to various emergencies.

Please feel free to contact me anytime with your concerns and questions. I may be reached by e-mail at t.deboer@bentonsheriff.com.
My school office is located at the middle/high school in Van Horne.

I look forward to an excellent school year!
