Mrs. Nesbitt was selected to present about Benton's work around mental health at the state's school mental health awareness conference, IowaBEST. Stella joined her but decided to take a snooze on the stage.




Staff participated in a variety of activities during yesterday's early dismissal. It was the MSHS staff's turn to review state assessment data and elementary buildings participated in learning around effective classroom practices.

Elementary teachers had the opportunity to review data from statewide assessments during professional learning yesterday. They were able to note celebrations and areas of growth for our system. One of Benton's core values is Continuous Growth. Evidence of this in action can be seen in the pictures below.

First graders are learning about plants and animals using their interactive reading and writing notebook. This is a learning tool they'll bring home after each unit so you can see what they've been working on and use for continued practice.
