My name is Tim Lyons, the Transportation Director at Benton. I started as the mechanic 25 years ago and then moved into the role of Transportation Director. I am a Benton grad (once a Bobcat, always a Bobcat) and have one daughter that is a graduate of Benton and two grandchildren that go to Benton. In my spare time I like to be with my family, take day trips, and travel.

These drivers haul the most precious cargo "Benton Community students". So please beware of them traveling on our roads and especially when they are stopped and the lights are flashing. Parents remind your students to use their seat belts and bus tag when getting on and off the bus. #BeABobcat #APlaceToBelong

NEW HOMESTEAD PROPERTY TAX CREDIT FOR BENTON COUNTY RESIDENTS 65 YEARS AND OLDER - APPLICATION DUE JULY 1, 2023 !!! From the Benton Co. Assessor: As you may have heard from the local news, on Facebook or through word of mouth, new legislation was passed to allow property owners, 65 years or older, to apply for an exemption along with their Homestead credit. Our office has seen a good volume of traffic come in to sign up but we want to make sure those who are qualified are made aware of this new exemption. The deadline to qualify for the 2023 exemption, for taxes payable 2024-2025, is July 1st so we are on short time to try to reach everyone we can. Please review the attached flyer and spread the news to your family, friends, neighbors and/or constituents. I am also attaching the Homestead Credit and Exemption Application for you to print out if anyone requests one. There are other ways to access the application electronically, through our website on the “links and forms” page or through a property search on Beacon (fillable form hyperlink located at the bottom of the results page). If there’s any questions, feel free to contact our office. Thank you for your time!
