Atkins Elementary asks for your support in collecting items for our annual Fill the Pantry Food Drive! Please donate items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and other essential food items that can help create balanced and nutritious meals for families facing food insecurity. The Fill the Pantry Food Drive not only addresses the immediate needs of the community but also fosters a sense of solidarity and compassion among neighbors. Through collective efforts, we will support needs with the Middle School/High School Hygiene closet and the Helping Hands Food Pantry located in Atkins.

"I became a Benton parent in 2015 and as soon as I walked into the building, I felt a welcoming and belonging that I had never experienced before. It truly felt like a place to belong. In 2019, an opportunity presented itself and after 19 years of teaching in other districts, I decided it was time for me to make a change. This was the best decision ever. My favorite part of being a Bobcat is the Bobcat pride that you feel at games, concerts and all the events!"

Due to extreme cold temperatures and road closures, there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 15th. The MS/HS will extend the first semester through Wednesday and the second semester will begin on Thursday. Thanks for your understanding as we continue to navigate the weather this winter.

No School Monday
Benton Community and Central Lutheran will be closed on Friday, January 12th. There will be no activities. With the cancellation of the last three days of school and another cancellation tomorrow, the district plans to use one of our snow makeup days on Monday, January 15th as a regular school day with students in attendance. Monday was originally scheduled to be a professional development day for staff and a no-school day for students. This day is listed on our official school calendar as a potential school makeup day, if needed. As we continue to monitor the weather and potential closures into next week, please know that our decisions are based on the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these winter weather situations.
