Payt Bergert

From February 17th to February 28th, Norway Intermediate collected food and other nonperishable items on behalf of the Atkins Helping Hands Food Pantry.

All three grade levels (4th, 5th, and 6th) really stepped up and together collected thousands of items. The 4th grade classes combined to collect the most items of any grade level, totaling 740 items! As a result of their efforts and generosity, they (the entire 4th grade) were rewarded with a popcorn party.

It had been decided that the individual class which collected more items than any other class (regardless of grade level), would receive a pizza party! Mr. Bergert’s 4th grade class collected a whopping 245 items and enjoyed pizza (and other delicious stuff) for lunch on Tuesday, March 15th. Mr. Bergert was not surprised by his class's efforts, as they are a very loving, compassionate, and benevolent group of kids.

A big high five goes out to all of the staff and kids at Norway Intermediate for stepping up and helping those in need, with so many of their needs.
