At Norway, our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System) program is taking it to the next level and having students help to enforce the positive behaviors.  6th grade students are helping to model expected behaviors at dismissal time and when riding the bus.  They have branded themselves Mallies Minions!  Students wear their safety vests with pride as they work their stations helping to ensure kids walk safely to the buses, stay on the sidewalk, and show expectations when riding the bus, such as staying seated the entire time and using the right voice level.  As “payment” for working their stations, they receive Jolly Ranchers twice a week- it’s amazing what a neon yellow vest and some Jolly Ranchers will do!
