We have been working on understanding fractions. Students are using manipulatives to discover ways to make equal fractions. Along with the manipulatives, students are using tape diagrams to represent fractions. These visual tools aid the students’ understanding of fractions and will help them with the conceptual understanding needed to master skills related to fractions.
