The Marching Bobcats of Benton Community High School have been working hard since the beginning of August on this year’s marching band show; putting in all-day rehearsals at the very beginning, to night rehearsals and now every morning during school. The show is entitled “The American Dream” and features “America” from West Side Story, Dvorak’s 9th Symphony and “America” by Neil Diamond.
The Marching Bobcats performs at all home football games and at several away competitions: Linn-Mar and Marion Marching Invitational on September 24th, Cedar Rapids Prairie on October 1st State Marching Band Festival, Muscatine Marching Invitational on October 8th, and closing out our season is the Waukee Marching Invitational on October 15th. We hope to see a lot of blue and gold in the stands supporting us.
