Ewell

Thank you parents, staff, and students for a wonderful school year! And thank you for sharing your students with us.  We enjoy the precious time we have and fully understand how busy and active your family life becomes when you have children in school.  We are blessed to be a partner with you throughout these critical years!

It is rather bitter sweet to see the end of a school year arrive and watch our students leave for the summer.  Last week I observed students thanking their teachers and staff, giving “high fives” to their friends, having fun dressing up on the last day, and showing pride for success in school.

This year was more “normal” than the past 2 school years.  We started school in a somewhat pensive fashion, not knowing how the pandemic would impact our students and families, and ended the school year with pride and confidence.  Most likely in future years, we will continue to work on mitigation strategies in regard to COVID while also working diligently to maintain a safe but comfortable school year.  I am pleased to report we endured the challenges and changes to our schedule with COVID as well as completing the final repairs and improvements from the derecho storm of 2020.

Our students made positive growth this year with their learning, academics, and activities.  Our Iowa Assessment results are in and parents should have already received the results.

Benton Bobcats are strong, resilient, and prideful when it comes to achieving their goals.

I am looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year.  Until then, enjoy the summer with your family!
