My favorite thing about being a Bobcat is the people and the strong sense of community that makes Benton such a special place. From the first day I arrived, it was clear that Benton is more than just a school district...it is a family. There is a genuine commitment to supporting students and one another, and you can feel that in the hallways, classrooms, activities, and events. Benton has a way of making people feel valued and connected, and that culture is something you do not find everywhere.

I also love how Benton celebrates students and creates meaningful experiences and traditions. Whether it’s Decision Day, Awards Day, Senior Walk, graduation, athletics, fine arts, or the countless other opportunities students have to shine, Benton knows how to recognize and celebrate kids. Those moments matter. Schools should be places where students feel seen, supported, and proud of who they are, and Benton does an outstanding job of creating those experiences. It is one of the coolest things I have seen throughout my career and a big reason why this district feels so special.

I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention the people I work alongside each day. The administrative team has been outstanding and has made a tremendous impact on my experience as a Bobcat. Their support, collaboration, and willingness to work together for kids has been incredible. As someone who values relationships and teamwork, I appreciate being surrounded by people who care deeply about students and staff and who are committed to making Benton the best place it can be. At the end of the day, being a Bobcat means being part of something bigger than yourself and that is what makes it so rewarding.
