During class, students discussed what a SMART goal was and how to write them..  These SMART goals are written at the beginning of each week and then reflected on by the student at the end of each week to see if they have met their goal.

Student reflection and goal setting have played a crucial role in shaping my classroom and enhancing the learning experience for my students. By encouraging students to reflect on their achievements, challenges, and areas for growth, they are able to develop a deeper understanding of their learning process and take ownership of their academic journey. Through regular reflection exercises, students have gained insights into their strengths and weaknesses, leading to increased self-awareness and motivation to improve.

Additionally, goal setting has provided a clear direction for students to work towards and strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. Setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals has helped students stay focused, organized, and motivated to achieve their desired outcomes. By regularly revisiting and revising their goals, students have been able to track their progress, celebrate their achievements, and continuously work towards personal and academic growth in my classroom. Overall, student reflection and goal setting have fostered a culture of self-improvement, accountability, and success in my classroom, ultimately shaping a dynamic and engaging learning environment for all students.
