Fall is in the air and you can find signs of fall in our hallway and in our classroom! In KTF we have been working on activities that promote literacy and math but have fine motor skills embedded. Strengthening our muscles and promoting in-hand manipulation will help impact handwriting and help students gain confidence in their writing skills. The students have been working on rolling play-dough to create apples to match the number on a tree. They have been working on ripping up paper and gluing it to the color words labeled on a template to create a torn paper apple. The students have also been working on cutting and whole punching to strengthen their hand muscles during our morning work. Finally, we have been using clothes pin to mark two words that rhyme and using tweezers to transfer puff balls to a template during rotations! Fine motor is fun!
