School bus safety is a shared responsibility among drivers, students, families and motorists. Students should arrive at their bus stop on time, remain a safe distance from the roadway and wait until the bus has completely stopped before approaching. While riding, students must remain seated, keep the aisle clear and follow the driver's instructions.

Motorists also play an important role by slowing down near bus stops and remaining alert for children. When a school bus displays flashing red lights and extends its stop arm, drivers must stop and remain stopped until the signals are turned off and it is safe to proceed. By working together and making safety our highest priority, we can help ensure every Benton Community student travels to and from school safely each day.

Let's work together to make this a safe and successful school year.
