In Kindergarten students are learning all about letters. They start by learning their letter names and then the sounds each letter makes. Once they understand each letter represents a sound, they can start making words.
Kindergartners practice building words in many different ways. They can write them, build them with magnetic letter tiles, and use the Smartboard to pull up letter cards. Practicing building words in multiple ways helps students manipulate the sounds they hear in words.
